The API does support editing. However, I believe I have that functionality turned off. The reason has to do with the login method. The API login method wants a password. Because of CAS, the wiki doesn't have access to your password, so the password stored internally is actually a random string. Since you (and others) are probably interested in automated editing, perhaps I'll look at a way to hook LDAP auth or CAS proxy auth into the API login. --Gregory.Szorc 21:47, October 21, 2006 (EDT)

You replaced all the old <geo> tags before I rewrote the Google Maps extension! No worries, though. It should be pretty simple to hack http://wiki.case.edu/misc/gmap.js to parse Special:GraphStructure/xml/locations. --Gregory.Szorc 22:59, October 23, 2006 (EDT)
