Talk:Olin Building
Maybe this is too much to ask of the Semantic extension, but I find it a little troubling that the RDF export of Olin is different from the RDF export of Olin_Building. The 'locations in Olin' on the Olin page is redirect-aware (it has locations that listed both Olin and Olin Building), seems like the RDF export should be, too. --Brian.Beck 15:57, September 5, 2006 (EDT)
- Let the Semantic MediaWiki people know. It might be a known "bug". --Gregory.Szorc 16:12, September 5, 2006 (EDT)
- At the same time, the object of a relation should not be a redirect, if at all possible. Although today Olin redirects to Olin Building, it might not always. Olin may one day be an ambiguous page listing articles like Olin Building and Olin, the person. --Gregory.Szorc 16:20, September 5, 2006 (EDT)
- The Geographical coordinate attribute isn't showing up in Olin_Building's RDF. Is it because it contains a <geo> tag? I know we're changing things to use Coordinate anyway, but just curious... --Brian.Beck 21:31, September 5, 2006 (EDT)
The Semantic geocoding is totally busted. It doesn't support negative coordinates, and also doesn't encode East and South directions properly, so it's impossible to geocode anything on the Case campus (click on the Google Maps link for the current geocode, it'll take you to someplace in the desert). --Brian.Beck 22:11, September 5, 2006 (EDT)
- Well, maybe just the part the generates the links for Google Maps and Mapquest is busted. Otherwise it seems fine. --Brian.Beck 23:14, September 5, 2006 (EDT)
