In April 2003, there was a serious racially-motivated incident instigated by the owner of the Barking Spider and his daughter against a Sikh who attempted to join a larger group of Case Law students in a celebration at the Spider. In the early 1970s there was a Christian Coffeehouse called The Olive Tree at this location. It was at the same address and had the same phone number as the Barking Spider. It was owned by the University Christian Movement. When did the changover occur? Also, who owns The Barking Spider. I recall discussing the Vietnam war and drinking coffee there. -vlb10
