Reuben Sturman
Reuben Sturman (1924-1997) was a pornography enterpreneur who graduated from Western Reserve University in 1948. In the 1980s he was identified by the Justice Department as the elite distributor of hardcore pornography, as evidenced by his $300 million in earnings in 1991. After being convicted of tax evasion, he died in federal prison in 1997.

The AVN (Adult Video News) recently named an award after Sturman, in recognition of his ability to evade obscenity charges by the United States government. The award goes to the producer(s) who best embody this spirit.
