Players' Theatre Group
The Players' Theatre Group (PTG) is a USG group dedicated to student-produced theater on Case's campus. They regularly perform in the Eldred Black Box Theater located in the basement of historic Eldred Hall. PTG explores many forms of theater, from rare one act plays, to Ancient Greek theater, to highly experimental works and student written texts. PTG generally relegates Musical Theater to Case's student-run musical theater troupe, Footlighters, them having formerly been a part of PTG and having then split off. IMPROVment, Case's improvisational comedy troupe, also finds some of its roots with PTG, and many members are active within both organizations. PTG is currently undergoing many structural and administrative reforms, headed by 2006 President Brittany Janis. Some of the current goals include more productions, higher production value, performance space renovation, greater publicity, and improved attendance.
