Oracle Calendar/Syncml
You can download SyncML from Synthesis to sync your Oracle calendar, contacts, and tasks on a handheld (PocketPC, Palm, SmartPhone, etc.) over a wireless network. There are other clients available for other platforms (Blackberry), and some phones have SyncML built into them.
The directions below are for Windows SmartPhone 2003. Other clients (Palm, Windows Mobile, etc.) are likely similar.
- Select Menu, then New Profile.
- Enter the Mobile Data Sync host address: https://calendar.case.edu/ocst-bin/ocas.fcgi
- Enter your Case Username and Password
- Enter the Contacts Server Path: ./Contacts
- Enter the Events Server Path: ./Calendar/Events
- Enter the Tasks Server Path: ./Calendar/Tasks
[edit] What version of SyncML should I use?
As of 10/20/2008, You must use version 2.5.0.69 of SyncML - the campus Oracle Calendar server isn't compatible with newer versions because it doesn't contain the patches described in this SyncML FAQ article - http://www.synthesis.ch/faq.php?lang=e&lay=desk&faq=62&cat=7
[edit] Does OCS support special options for Calendar data to limit the date range of events that are synchronized?
