Your case.edu email account will be suspended commensurate with your Network ID status. If you are changing jobs, it is best to inform your business correspondence partners of your new forwarding address before your departure. After your email account is suspended, there is no forwarding.
There are 2 variations on email forwarding:
- If you meet the Case alumni criteria, you can apply for an alumni account at http://www.case.edu/alumni/emailf.html
- If you are an undergraduate student and using |Google Apps for Education you will be able to keep your Case Gmail account and email content.

Your Case Network ID is suspended 1 working day after termination of employment (see the account closure policy. If you are a student, this grace period is 180 days to account for transition to graduate programs, summer break, semester abroad, or temporary disenrollments. If you qualify for Alumni Status, your Case Network ID is not suspended (unless you violated the AUP somewhere along the line) and you will effectively have an Alumni Account.
After leaving Case, you will have access to the following services, as long as your Case Network ID is still valid:
You will lose access to the following services:
- VPN
- Software Center
- Calendar
- Library
- Computer registration and network access privileges
