Mary Ann Jorgenson

In addition to earning her law degree from Case, Mary Ann Jorgenson received her B.A. with high honors from Agnes Scott College and her M.A. in education from Harvard University. The new member of the Case Board of Trustees also serves as a leader in the legal, business and Cleveland communities. At Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP, she focuses on the representation of public and private companies in corporate governance, securities law matters and mergers and acquisitions. She has served as a director or secretary of several public companies, as well as private companies and charitable organizations. She has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for a number of years and was named one of the best corporate lawyers in Northeast Ohio by Northern Ohio Live and Inside Business magazines in 2002. She is also listed in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Business Lawyers 2004-2005. Jorgenson has served on the firm’s five-person management committee and as the firm-wide business practice area coordinator for many years. She is also immediate past chair of the Committee on Corporate Laws of the American Bar Association and was an adviser to the ABA’s National Task Force on Corporate Responsibility in 2002 and 2003. She is a frequent speaker at national securities law and corporate governance seminars and conferences. In addition, she is a trustee of Cleveland Partnership and previously served as a trustee and chair of the Board of Great Lakes Theater Festival and has served on the Visiting Committees of both Case’s Weatherhead School of Management and Franklin Backus School of Law.
