Language learning services at the Freedman Center have been managed by Tina Oestreich since September, 2007. Tina serves as a resource to the Case community by researching appropriate language learning tools, assisting faculty and students with the Center's Online Language Learning Center, and helping language faculty integrate new technologies into their teaching.

[edit] Language and Culture Exchange Community

In order to increase the Case communities ability to learn more about language and culture, Tina has created language and cultural exchange wikis.

The language and cultural exchange wiki contains a list of online language learning resources and links to foreign media, such as newspapers, radio, and television. Another wiki focuses specifically on campus cultural exchange resources. A third wiki provides the Case community with the opportunity to post an advertisement seeking language and cultural exchange partners. These advertisements should be for cooperative, non-paid exchanges only, not for tutoring services.

The Case community is encouraged to contribute to all of these language and cultural wikis to increase their usefulness.
