LAMPS is term to describe a web server running popular open source software applications on Linux. Usually, LAMPS means Linux Apache MySQL {Perl, PHP, Python} SSL
There is a project on http://opensource.case.edu that provides an easy-to-install LAMPS package that is optimized for the Case environment.
