Templates are blocks of text that can inserted on any page. Templates should reside in the Template namespace. You can include a template by surrounding the template page name in double curly brackets.
For example,
{{stub}}
will include Template:stub in the current page.
The doubly curly brackets do more than just including templates, they can also include other pages.
Some examples:
{{:Main Page}} will include the contents from the main page on the current page.
{{Help:Contents}} will include the contents from Help:Contents on the current page.
For general help with templates, please see MetaWikiPedia:Help:Template.
