[edit] Using the wiki for discussion
For every page on this wiki, there is a sister page for discussion. The discussion page can be accessed by clicking the Discussion tab directory above the article's title in the main content area.
Discussion pages can be edited by anybody, even people who are not logged in to the wiki.
[edit] Differences between discussion and regular pages
Regular pages are intended to be as factual as possible. Discussion pages are for opinion and discussion about the main article. Discussion can range from discussing the layout of a page to proposing changes in the content presented, to carrying on a discussion about items on main pages.
[edit] Creating discussions
Discussion pages should be divided into sections that are each dedicated to a specific part of the article being discussed. For existing discussion pages, you can add a new section by clicking the + tab when on a discussion page. Alternatively, create a new section by creating a new section using wiki syntax. For example
== Section name ==
In each section, you should write down basic thoughts in a paragraph. When you are done writing, you can sign your discussion post by adding
--~~~~
to the end of your text.
For example:
I really like this page. --~~~~
It is possible to create threaded discussions. To respond to a specific item, add a : immediately before your text to indent it. Add multiple colons to indent further levels.
For example:
This is a cool page. :I agree--~~~~
Would be displayed as:
This is a cool page.
