Gamers Anonymous

Gamers Anonymous exists to promote social interaction by providing the environment and equipment necessary for a group to meet and enjoy board or card games. Gamers meets Saturdays at 3 PM at Wade Fireside. The email list is gamersanonymous <æt> case <dot> edu.

2 on bgg (it and Tigris and Euphrates have swapped spots). 'Gar has this game and it is awesome. We spent a lot of time playing the Java version online last year (google funkenschlag). My only criticism is that the rules suck, but we can teach you.

StarCraft: the Board Game ($57)

58 on bgg. Think TI except it doesn't suck (also published by FFG, makers of TI). 3 hours long (so it can be played at a meeting). You must be aggressive or you will die. It sounds sweet.

           Players represent alien races that are seeking to spread themselves onto five foreign worlds. But alien powers, which are unique to each race,

           give players ways to bend or outright break some rule in the game. Think TI in 90 minutes
