Freedman Center:TextBridge Pro OCR
Optical character recognition (OCR) can be performed on any image file, regardless of where it was created.
- Open TextBridge Pro 11.0, located in the Scanning Software Folder on the desktop.
- Click the Start button to begin the OCR process.
- Navigate to the image that OCR will be performed on and click the Open button.
- OCR will automatically be performed on the image, with questionable characters brought up in the OCR proofreader; click the Ignore button to pass words that were scanned correctly, otherwise make the appropriate correction in the "Change to" box and click the Change button.
- Once OCR proofreading is complete, the Save As dialog box will open so that the file can be saved; type a name to save the document as in the "File name" box and click OK (it will automatically be saved as a Microsoft Word document).
- Once the file is saved, Microsoft Word will open the file for additional formatting.
