Freedman Center/Slide Scanning with Multi-Slide Adapter
- Check out the Multi-Slide Adapter from the front desk.
- Remove the Single-Slide Adapter from the Nikon Cool Scan V slide scanner.
- Place the scanner on its side with the adapter port to the left.
- Insert the Multi-Slide Adapter as shown (and then wait until the adapter has stopped humming).
- Open the slide feeder housing on the adapter. Then pull back the slide catch to load the stack of slides to be scanned. **Make sure that the slides are oriented horizontally withe the emulsion side facing out (i. e., to the right).
- Adjust the metal slide feeder plate using the wheel at the bottom right of the adapter.
- Align the end of the plate such that it blocks the second-to-first slide at its thickness midpoint. This will leave the first slide unobstructed for loading.
