[edit] CD Burning

  1. Open iTunes, located in the CD & DVD Burning Folder on the desktop.
  2. Select and enter the iTunes Library from the folders column on the left side of the iTunes dialog box.
  3. Open the My Documents folder and drag the desired .wav(e) files into the iTunes Library.
    • The files that you select and drag will be organized alphabetically in the Library.
  4. When all desired files have been loaded into the Library, click the "+" button in the lower left corner of the iTunes dialog box to create a new Playlist.
    • The new Playlist icon will appear at the bottom of the folders column on the left side of the iTunes dialog box.
    • Give the new Playlist a distinctive name.
  5. Drag all desired .wav(e) files from the Library into the new Playlist.
  6. Open the new Playlist and arrange (drag) the .wav(e) files into the desired order.
  7. Load a blank CD into the lower CD tray on the CPU under the work station.
  8. Click the "Burn Disk" Icon in the upper right corner of the iTunes dialog box.

[edit] MP3 Creation

  1. Open iTunes, located in the CD & DVD Burning Folder on the desktop.
  2. Select and enter the iTunes Library from the folders column on the left side of the iTunes dialog box.
  3. Open the My Documents folder and drag the desired .wav(e) files into the iTunes Library.
    • The files that you select and drag will be organized alphabetically in the Library.
  4. Select a .wav(e) file and right click on its title. In the drop-down menu that appears, choose "Convert Selection to MP3".
  5. Right click the title of the file again and select "Get Info" from the drop-down menu.
  6. In the resulting dialog box the name, artist, album, genre, and other descriptive categories can be filled in if desired.
  7. When all desired MP3 files have been created in the Library, click the "+" button in the lower left corner of the iTunes dialog box to create a new Playlist.
    • The new Playlist icon will appear at the bottom of the folders column on the left side of the iTunes dialog box.
    • Give the new Playlist a distinctive name.
  8. Drag all desired MP3 files from the Library into the new Playlist.
  9. Open the new Playlist and arrange (drag) the MP3 files into the desired order.
  10. Connect external memory device or MP3 player to the computer using a USB port on the left side of the workstation monitor.
  11. Transfer MP3 files to the device.
  12. If you wish to create a CD of MP3 files (they will not play in CD players but can be transfered to a player from the CD), follow the directions for burning a CD in the previous section.
