Freedman Center/TextBridge Pro OCR

Optical character recognition (OCR) can be performed on any image file, regardless of where it was created.

  1. Open TextBridge Pro 11.0, located in the Scanning Software Folder on the desktop.
  2. Click the Start button to begin the OCR process.
  3. Navigate to the image that OCR will be performed on and click the Open button.
  4. OCR will automatically be performed on the image, with questionable characters brought up in the OCR proofreader; click the Ignore button to pass words that were scanned correctly, otherwise make the appropriate correction in the "Change to" box and click the Change button.
  5. Once OCR proofreading is complete, the Save As dialog box will open so that the file can be saved; type a name to save the document as in the "File name" box and click OK (it will automatically be saved as a Microsoft Word document).
  6. Once the file is saved, Microsoft Word will open the file for additional formatting.
