We study the design and operation of information environments in order to understand how they may become humanly satisfying and socially beneficial.
Our research on information environments unites qualitative and quantitative approaches in order to derive better practice from theory and better theory from practice.
We use the term information environment to emphasize the holistic quality of action, attention, information and communication in organizational systems.
The Information Systems Department offers nationally ranked educational programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate level.
