[edit] Transportation to Buhrer
We will be carrying out our activity programs at Buhrer school on 3805 Terrett Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113, (216) 631-3310. Here are directions for getting there before 3:45pm on weekdays via Cleveland's Regional Transit Authority (click on the route to get timetables):
Depart: UNIVERSITY CEDAR RAPID (#28919) 3:12p
On route: 66 - Airport-Windermere-Red (West)
Arrive: TOWER CITY RAIL (#28916) 3:25p
Transfer to: SUPERIOR AV & WEST ROADWAY (#7751) 3:28p
On route: 326 - Detroit - Superior (West)
Arrive: DETROIT AV & W 38TH ST (#3447) 3:34p
After getting off the bus, walk south on W 38th St. for 5 blocks till you reach Terrett Ave. and Buhrer will be on the right. The trip should take ~30min total.
[edit] Tentative Schedule
- Sat. Aug. 25 - Student Activities Fair
- 11:30 am-1 pm on Freiberger Field
- Set up begins at 11am, we get 1 table, 2 chairs, and 2 meal vouchers.
- We have $20 for display, etc supplies for the fair.
- We need to set up a schedule for the fair
- We need display materials/suggestions, brochures, etc
- 1st General Body meeting - Second Week of classes - Week of Sept 2, location TBA
- Intro for new attendees, thanks for returning for old ones
- What the plan is for this semester/year
- Sept 8 (or earlier) - Officer "Retreat"
- This is our serious planning time, when we look at where we've been and where we want to go this year.
- Between 1st General Body meeting and Oct 5 - Intro Visit to Buhrer for New Volunteers
- Allows new volunteers to get a feel for the school and the students
- Pick up waiver forms and sign up sheets
- 2nd General Body meeting - Date???
