Student Groups that every university should have:
Bowling team : For the non-athletes, bowling is a great way to encourage teams, partnerships, and socializing
An example of another schools bowling team
Newsgroup : Universities need a way to keep students up to date with campus news, local news, and world news.
Badminton team : It's a sport to bring together all sorts of ethnicities
Radio Station :
Debate Club : Strengthens social and communication skills
Band : Encourages students to be outgoing, have school pride, and learn a new talent
Architectural team : While this isn't very common for most Universities, It is a great way to get architech majors interested in learning. Competitions for fastest build, best looking model, and quality product are all great methods of encouragement. How well and how fast could you craft this bar stool? The dimensions are available :)
Forensics team : Students need experience. While research and classes provide excellent education, there is nothing that compares to real life experience.
Science Club : Science clubs are a great way to bring Chemistry Clubs, Biology Clubs, Math Clubs, and Physics clubs together and allow students to interact on real life, complex problems that deal with more than just one science field. It allows for a more in depth look into science questions with more ideas to bring to the table. This Bioinformatics club is a good start.
