If you use the Firefox web browser you may be interested in the Jabber compliant IM plugin called SamePlace. To use SamePlace, navigate to the following link and follow the installation instructions: http://sameplace.cc/download

When installation completes, Firefox will restart, and the SamePlace client will then be loaded and operable within the browser. This plugin also allows the user to use a standalone (pop-out) client which more closely resembles the Spark client. SamePlace greatly reduces the memory footprint of the Spark client, and functions well. See image below for configuration settings.
