The Google Maps extension could use an overhaul to take advantage of enhanced location information provided by Semantic MediaWiki.

A new Google Maps extension should be written with the following features:

• Parses output of Special:GraphStructure and puts markers on structures
  • Description includes structure name and a list of all entities having the located in relation pointing to that structure. A thumbnail of the structure would be cool as well.
• Different structures have different icons (e.g. knife and fork for places to eat, wine or beer glass for a bar, beds for residence hall, etc)
• Allows user to specify what types of markers to show
  • Extension syntax should allow only display of bars, academic buildings, etc
