CaseBlog/Usage

The Blog@Case service (http://blog.case.edu) can be used for numerous purposes. Below are ways it could be used for different classes of people.

Contents

[edit] Individuals

[edit] Personal Blog

You can use the Blog@Case service as a publishing ground for your personal opinions, much like LiveJournal or Xanga.

[edit] Groups

[edit] Group Editorial Blog

Does your group have an agenda? Do you want to publish editorials from numerous authors all on the same website? The blog service makes this an effortless task.

[edit] Students and Professors

[edit] Classroom Announcements

The service can be used by professors to create a mini course website. The instructor can write course announcements as entries in the blog and students can read the announcements without having to log in anywhere. Also, students can leave commnets about posts.

[edit] Departments

[edit] Events and News

The blog service can be used as your publishing vehicle for news and events. The display of the blog can be customized to conform to the Case template (see http://blog.case.edu/its-news/). It is also possible to create news entries on the blog system and have them transparently displayed on another website. For example, http://blog.case.edu/usg-news/ and http://usg.case.edu/. Entries are created on the former and displayed on the later-- automatically. By publishing on the blog system, you also have the ability to receive comments from readers.
