The Case Western Reserve Anime Society was founded in the Spring of 1997 by Andy Ng and Innate Mak. The organization was recognized as a USG sponsored club in Fall of 1997. ^[1]

[edit] Meetings

Anime Society meets once a week, on Fridays from 6-9PM, during which 6-7 episodes of Anime are shown. These 6-7 are further divided into 2-3 episodes each of three different 26 episode series, or alternately any of those can be replaced with 2 episodes of two 13 episode series, one each half-semester. Since thirteen episode series are rare, typically only one 26 episode series would be replaced with two.

Currently, five officer positions exist in Anime Society:

• President
• Vice President
• Secretary/Webmaster
• Treasurer
• Publicist/Equipment Manager

The Publicist/Equipment Manager position was formed during the elections of Spring 2005, when it was decided that separate publicists and equipment managers were not needed anymore.
