[edit] Meetings

The Board of Trustees meets three or four times a year. The meetings are scheduled well in advance, due to the large membership.

[edit] Committees

The Board consists of the following committees:

[edit] Academic Affairs Student Life

[edit] Others

The other committees are unknown at this time.

[edit] Criticisms

A large concern of the Board of Trustees is their lack of visibility. Information on the Board is almost non-existent. What little information there is available is often told by first-hand witnesses of Board actions or from outdated information on http://www.cwru.edu/president/corporation/TrusteeList.htm. This membership list has been assembled from the university directory and news releases.

[edit] Interaction with students

According to Provost Anderson at a meeting with IFC on March 22, 2006, future February meetings of the Board will include some form of interaction with students.

USG is also attempting to get non-voting undergraduate student representation on the Board (as of Spring 2006). At the aforementioned IFC meeting, Provost Anderson expressed his support of this plan. However, he stated that many members of the Board are hesitant to accept the idea. Provost Anderson speculates that student representation will come in the form of membership on the Academic Affairs/Student Life Committee.
