The Bingham Building was built in 1927. It houses the Civil Engineering Department, which includes the Soils Lab, the Concrete Lab, and the machine shop. Bingham also houses a "clean room" for microchip production, an electronics design center which specializes in pressure gauges and bionic devices, and a laser lab. It also houses some labs for the Cleveland FES Center.
