Attribute talk:Floor

I disagree about floor being a string. Isn't the ground floor really the 1st floor? Basements can be identified by negative numbers. The only issue occurs when there are half floors. Perhaps the type should be a float then? A logical reason for having floors be a numerical value is so they can easily be sorted. Say I am building a location-based service using the data in this wiki. I want to know the floor immediately above the "ground" floor. How does the wiki know which floor that is? --Gregory.Szorc 13:37, August 31, 2006 (EDT)

In Crawford, the "ground floor" is not the 1st floor - it's the floor below. --Andrew.Witte 14:25, August 31, 2006 (EDT)
