In March of 1947, a group of men at Cleveland College (what would later become Western Reserve University) formed a local fraternity. They wanted to become national and join one of the Jewish fraternities. On May 25, 1947, thirty-three young men were inducted as the first brothers of Alpha Epsilon Pi, Tau Deuteron Colony.
